Martin Naunov is a consultant on a USAID project in Macedonia. Martin served as the 2017-2018 Media Litigation Fellow at the Hearst Corporation in New York, where he supported the litigation group on issues affecting journalists and the media industry. Martin has also worked at Transparency International and Johns Hopkins SAIS, where he worked with Professor Daniel Serwer.
Martin is a graduate of Middlebury College (Vermont, USA), where he studied Political Science. At Middlebury, Martin was a research assistant to U.S. Presidency scholar Matthew Dickinson. Martin was the 2017 recipient of the Julian E. and Melba Jarrett Prize, awarded to the Middlebury College graduating senior who has excelled the most in the study of political philosophy, law, and American government. While studying abroad at Oxford University, Martin won the CMRS Oxford Prize for the best research paper.
Martin is interested in pursuing an academic career. His research interests encompass populism, democratic backsliding, and support for far right movements.
