Maja Bjelos is a public policy analyst and advocate in the area of security sector reform, including women, peace and security with nine years of professional experience working for the Belgrade Centre for Security Policy.
Maja graduated from international relations at the Faculty of Political Science in Belgrade, University of Belgrade, where she also completed a post-graduate masters programme in international security.
She has researched largely on various security issues, gender equality and the women, peace and security and her research was published in domestic and international publications.
She was a part-time visiting lecturer at the Faculty of Political Sciences. In addition, she has experience in working as a consultant and trainer in the field of gender and security. Bjelos was also a coordinator of the Civil Society Network 'Women, Peace and Security in the Republic of Serbia'.
